Mattias Bavré obtained his Master's degree in Audiovisual Arts at KASK School of Arts, in Ghent, Belgium. His graduation film Z bratem (2021) won the Jury Prize for Best Belgian Student Short at Film Fest Gent. Zlata (2023) is his first mid-length feature film, which premiered at Film Fest Gent and Visions du Réel, and was broadcasted at VRT/Canvas.

Currently Mattias is developing Do Matki, a feature documentary that builds on Z bratem.
